Holly Platt

Artist Reception November 4, 6:30 - 8:30 PM

Holly Platt lives in Utah where she works as a freelance artist. She grew up in Salt Lake
City, and discovered her love of art at an early age. She is a colorist and prefers to slightly blur
the line between representational and abstract styles while working with a variety of mediums
including oil paints, acrylics, and mixed media. A great deal of her inspiration is drawn from
nature and how organic and geometric shapes and lines intermingle effortlessly.
Holly studied art throughout her youth and at age 17 participated in her first gallery
exhibition at the Springville Art Museum. She then attended the art department at the University of Utah.
She is a wife and mother of four. Her favorite hobby is family time, but she continues to
attend workshops and further her art skills whenever possible.
