Pamela studied art and design at NAU, and graduated with a BFA in Visual Communications, with an emphasis in Graphic Design. She feels a background in design helps her work as an oil painter. 

Her degree is in Graphic Design, but her love is in Fine Art. Having recently retired from a 20+ year career in Graphic Design as an Art Director, she is now pursuing her love of painting.

Painting metallic objects and their reflections is one of her favorite subjects. Textures and creating good compositions is also important in her work. "The basis of all good painting is the ability to draw, so I do draw a lot and I paint daily."

She considers herself a life-long learner and continuously takes artist workshops to further her knowledge and skill. "It's more about how I paint something then what I paint. I paint a variety of subjects, mostly from life, but occasionally from photos. Especially children, who can't sit still!" Her children and grandchildren are the center of her life.
